Installation Method
- Install furring channel to the underside of the concrete slab at a maximum spacing of 2400mm centres.
- Fix Polyair Super to furring channels achieving a minimum sag of 50mm between fixing points.
- Polyair overlaps to be a minimum 50mm if being taped or 150mm if no tape is used.
- Screws with large head facings, screw and washer combination, or a continuous angle fixed on top of the Polyair is recommended to secure the Polyair in place.
- Hanging rods are then installed directly through the Polyair and into the underside of the slab.
Polyair is safe to handle, no special protective clothing, gloves or mask is required for handling. It is the responsibility of the installers to observe and comply with any relevant occupational health and safety requirements and Australian Standards for the installation process.
